Qualifications and Clinical Training

I am a UKCP Trainee Psychotherapist undertaking a five-year, UKCP-accredited MSc in Gestalt Psychotherapy at the Metanoia Institute, London. This is a Level 7 postgraduate clinical training leading to registration as a Psychotherapist with the UK Council for Psychotherapy and reflects the highest level of core psychotherapy training in terms of depth and scope of practice.

Alongside this, I completed a two-year Postgraduate Degree in the Studies of Mindfulness at the University of Aberdeen and a further two-year teacher training pathway with the Mindfulness Association, through which I am authorised to teach mindfulness. This extended academic and contemplative training informs my clinical work in an embodied and psychologically grounded way, supporting the development of awareness, emotional regulation, and sensitivity to how experience unfolds in the present moment.

The psychotherapy training itself integrates sustained academic study, supervised clinical practice, and ongoing personal therapy maintained throughout the programme. Its emphasis is on relational depth, reflective capacity, and the ability to work with complex and enduring psychological processes over time. All client work is undertaken within a structured framework of supervision and ethical oversight.

I maintain regular supervision, remain in personal therapy, and hold professional indemnity insurance and an enhanced DBS check. My practice is grounded in sustained postgraduate training and a commitment to careful, depth-oriented, and ethically responsible psychotherapy.
